Description

Book No 1: Combat Medals of the Third Reich by Christopher Ailsby. When Adolf Hitler came to power in Germany he introduced a wide variety of new awards and decorations to reward those who helped him to power, and as the Second World War progressed these increased further. Hardback with dust cover, 255 illustrated pages. Book No 2: The Royal Navy Reserve Long Service and Good conduct medal as awarded to The Royal Naval Auxiliary sick berth reserve by Rick Thornton & Peter Beighton. Most Naval medal collectors are familiar with the RNR medal with its green ribbon, but some might be surprised to see when examining the edge of some specimens , not the expected rate and RNR (Royal Naval Reserve) but the letters RNASBR (Royal Naval Auxiliary Sick Berth Reserve). This book is intended to show what the RNASBR was and how its members came to qualify for the RNR medal. The book comes with a personal letter to the previous owner from the author. Hardback with dust cover, 61 illustrated pages. Book No 3: British Gallantry Awards by PE Abbott & JMA Tamplin. When ‘British Gallantry Awards’ was first published in 1971 it was immediately acknowledged as the standard reference work on this subject. Hardback with dust covers, 315 illustrated pages. The price for theses 3 books includes UK delivery. BO 430.
