This is stamped crisply on the blade ricasso. These bayonets were mainly issued to the Guards and occasional use with the Mk5 Sten gun. The bayonet has a swivelling pommel which allowed it to be fixed to the No4 rifle and the Sten sub machine gun. The blade is the standard bowie shape as used on the No5 jungle carbine and successive marks including the No9 and L1A1 series. The scabbard is the standard No5 Mk2 with a brass mouthpiece. The ‘37’ pattern frog is in incredible condition inspection stamps to the rear. See Skennerton pages 243/44, item B299. The price includes UK delivery. BAYO 785. (Box 2).
