The Remington design lives on today in the form of quality firearms grade pistols from Italian manufacturers Uberti, Pietta, and Euroarms. This is an excellent double barrel derringer similar in form to Remington models by Uberti Italy. The pistol has two 2 ¾” barrels set over and under and measures 5 ¼” overall. The pistol is stainless steel and has chequered panel wood grips. The pistol is signed by the Italian maker Uberti, has inspection marks, calibre detail ‘Cal .38 SP’ and matching numbers ‘4724’ on the barrel cluster and frame . It has a sheathed trigger. The barrels are released for loading by operation of a lever and a knurled steel button on the frame of the pistol. Deactivated to UK specification in 1997 the pistol cocks and dry fires & its barrels are open over bored and will accept inert rounds. The derringer is contained in its wood case with hinged lid and clasp fastener. The inside of the case is lined with purple felt and is contoured to fit the derringer and its accessories which consist of 5 x inert deactivated rounds of .38 Special ammunition and a black leather Bianchi model 18D holster . The holster made for concealed carry on a belt or boot has a metal ‘Bianchi’ signed belt bar to the rear. The holster has a retaining strap with press stud fastener. The holster is impressed ‘18D’ (model). All leather & stitching of the holster are clean and intact. The price includes the deactivation certificate and UK delivery Sn 20709:33
