This dagger is one of several Nazi blades we recently acquired that are new to the market having been in storage wrapped in Newspaper since the 1960's & 70's when they originally came into the possession of a market trader. The blade is crisply stamped with the manufacturers Paul Seilheimer Solingen name & Trademark. Seilheimer made approximately 8,000 of these daggers and are rated as rarity value 7 (10 being highest rarity value making worth one of the rarest makers) in the book ‘The Service Daggers Of The SA & The NSKK’ by Siegert. Early production Nazi SA daggers such as ours had only the maker’s name without later RZM marks. The wooden grips have service wear chips to both sides of the pommel which can be seen in the images. The nickel plated pommel fitting is secure. The German National Emblem and 'SA' roundel are perfectly fitted. It has a Nickel plated cross guard. The cross guard has ‘No’ parts maker mark. Its 8 ¾” blade has the correct "Alles Fur Deutschland" motto inscription. The cutting edges of the blade have a few minor nibbles only visible on close inspection. The dagger is complete with its excellent original brown anodised metal scabbard with nickel plated chape & throat mount. The throat mount has a single hanging ring fitted with original leather belt hanger with nickel plated sprung clip and nickel plated buckle. The price for this early SA dagger new to the collector’s market includes UK delivery. Sn 21385:12
