This pistol was manufactured at one of the French Military arsenals during the mid 19th century. Iron military skull-crusher butt-cap, matching military iron trigger-guard. Complete with a steel ramrod. Approx .69 calibre. Overall length 11 inches. Worn and well used condition, the lock markings are worn away. In working order. This type of French percussion pistol are also known to have been carried in the Southern states of America during the U.S. Civil War (circa 1862-1865).
