A fabulous cavalry sword of the Napoleonic period, this pattern sword was originally made for the tall and fierce Cuirassiers of Napoleon's Grand Armee, a very similar pattern cavalry sword was carried during the Peninsular campaigns of the 19th century and at the battle of Waterloo in June 1815. Complete in its original steel scabbard with two hanging rings. The hilt stamped with large numbers "784". The blade with various military markings on the back edge, the date unclear.
