This is a very good .38 Calibre Smith & Wesson Military & Police Revolver. It has a 6" barrel, blade fore sight and adjustable target rear sight. The pistol has undamaged wood grips with S&W roundels. The butt is threaded for lanyard ring. It is stamped along the barrel with the Smith & Wesson, manufacturer's name & Springfield address. The right side of the frame has the 'S&W Trade mark logo and Patent' together with 'Made in the U.S.A'. The right side of the barrel is marked 'Parker hale .22 Conversion' (This pistol has had a factory parker hale barrel conversion at some point in its life). It is serial number ' 710165'. Deactivated to old specification in 1989 it has open cylinders that will accept inert .38 calibre rounds. It strips, cocks and dry fires perfectly in both single and double action.
