~ Victorian 1827 Pattern Staffordshire Volunteer Rifles Sword ~

The sword has a black shark skin grip, steel rifles guard and etched blade for the Staffordshire Volunteer Rifles. The scabbard is of steel with two suspension loops. The ricasso bears the manufacturers name - Hill Bros. of Old Bond Street, London.

The sword is 98 cm (38.25 inches) in total length with a 83 cm (32.5 inches) blade.
