This is a Victorian Era Continental Form Heavy Duty Folding Clasp Knife ideal for carrying in the field when hunting. The knife has a heavy 5” long, 6mm thick single edged drop point blade which has just light staining consistent with age. There are no maker marks visible on the blade. The overall length of the knife open is 11 ¾”, closed it is 6 ¾”. The knife has undamaged polished horn scales secured by steel pins & inset with brass decoration and large brass bolsters secured by steel pins. One bolster has clover leaf shaped decoration on both sides. The knife has a brass lanyard ring. The spine of the steel grip frame has tooled decoration which can be seen in the images.
