Create my profile now! This is an excellent, original, WW1 British Officer's MK VI .450/.455 calibre Service Revolver. On the left side of the frame it is stamped ' Webley Patents' & 'Mark VI'. The pistol is undated, this, and the fact that the pistol was capable of firing both .450 and Military .455 Calibre ammunition and has shorter than standard 6” barrel indicates that this revolver was a commercial weapon for British officer's Private Purchase. The pistol has matching numbers 446175 / 175 on the cylinder, barrel and frame. The top of the barrel is crisply marked 'P.Webley & Son London & Birmingham'. The pistol's original finely chequered grips are undamaged. It is complete with military lanyard ring. Deactivated to UK specification in 2007 the pistol cocks and dry fires in both single & double action. The pistol has an open over bored barrel and ringed cylinder (will not accept inert rounds). The revolver is accompanied by 6 inert deactivated rounds of Kynoch .455 calibre ammunition for display only. The price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery. Sn 21006
