WW2 1943 & Post War 1947 Dated Italian, Carcano M1891/41 Fascist (XX) & Royal Army (RE) Marked Armaguerra Cremona Factory Terni Arsenal (FAT) 6.5mm Calibre Rifle.**VERY EARLY UK 1993 DEACTIVATION CERTIFICATED** Sn 20067:36 - 20067:36

The Carcano M1891 rifle gave excellent service throughout the First Word War where Italy participated on the Allied side, fighting mainly against Austria. The reliability of the weapon convinced Fascist Italy to re commence manufacturing the Infantry rifle during WW2. The rifle was designated the Carcano M1891/41 Rifle. Aside from a more compact rear sight, standard non-progressive rifling, and a barrel slightly shorter than the older infantry rifle, the 1941 adaptation was little changed from the WW1 era weapon. The M1891/41 rifle was manufactured at the Terni Arsenal (aka Terni, FAT) and in Northern Italy at the Armaguerra Cremona factory. This is an excellent original example of the M1891/41 Rifle used during WW2 and post war. It's wood stock and metalwork are excellent and undamaged. It is equipped with original cleaning rod, sling swivels, bayonet lug, flip up rear sight, blade fore sight & steel butt plate. The breech is crisply marked 'Armaguerra Cremona' together with '1943' date and 'XX' (Fascist marking). The breech is also stamped with 'Crown RE' Royal Army stamp, other inspection marks and '6.5mm' calibre detail. The stock is impressed with Terni Arsenal 1947 ‘FAT 1947’ & inspection marks. The rifle is serial number QD348 which is stamped on the barrel and wood. Deactivated to very early UK specification in 1993 the weapon cocks and dry fires. The price includes deactivation certificate and UK delivery**This Firearm is deactivated to one of the pre- 2nd May 2017, UK specifications. We can arrange for this firearm to be brought up to the latest UK/EU specification (customers can purchase on our lay-away scheme. The weapon will then be brought up to the EU specification and the relevant certificate obtained prior to the transfer of ownership and delivery). Sn 20067:36
