The new Volkswagen ID Buzz has finally made it into production after being revealed in 1972 as a prototype   It's an electric van that was powered by one of those crazy rear-mounted motors you see on old cars today and doesn't have any gas engines whatsoever!     Volkswagen first began developing all-electric drive systems for cars in 1970 (pretty impressive!)  to create a vehicle that was powered entirely by electricity.
