Rare* 1940-1944 French Vichy Military Youth Building Knife ‘Le Couteau Des Chantiers De Jeu Nesse’ and Original Leather Sheath. ED 2690. Daggers

This is a Second World War French Military Youth Organisation Knife with its original leather sheath. Produced in the early 1940’s they were issued to French Military organisations that were formed as part of the Armistice agreement between Nazi Germany and the French Vichy Government. This example is made from cast alloy with a steel blade. The 15 cm ((25 ¾ cm overall) blade is stamped ‘Sabatier J Eune & Made in France’ and at the base of the blade is the word ‘Depose’. The overall condition knife and leather sheath are very good and original, with the sheath being near mint. See page 87 of ‘Couteaux De Combat’ by Jean Fontvielle for a featured example.
