Create my profile now!This is a WW2 era French made Schaffler’s system magneto exploder commonly called a blasting machine that was used to explode blasting caps on the main charge of explosives. The machine was used extensively by German and French army demolition squads and bomb/mine disposal. The machine was also used in quarries and mines. This exploder has seen much use and consists of a alloy cast bottom half with a cast alloy lid on the top with a brass spigot for the detonator handle (missing) and two brass screw terminal connectors. The blaster also has a leather carrying strap. The machine is stamped on the bottom Schaffler’s System BDKMS15 81270. The leather carrying strap is attached to the sides of the exploder had has snapped with wear. The machine is also stamped on the top 4MS and 265. The price includes U.K. delivery.
