The Land Pattern Socket Bayonet was the first somewhat standardized socket bayonet utilised by the British military. This example is similar to the bottom illustration on page 40 and has a stud to muzzle length of 2”. The blade length is 38 ¾ cm, 52 ¼ cm overall. The scabbard is brass mounted black leather with some stitching open on the rear seam, but is tight and firm. The locket and chape have movement but are connected. The price includes UK delivery.
